The Little Pink Car project is an assignment from my DDN-115 class for digital design. The purpose of this assignment was to hone my skills with the Pen and Pathfinder tools in Adobe Illustrator and combine them with new techniques such as blends and gradient meshes to push your creativity and develop your aesthetic. However, the assignment was not restricted to only little pink cars.

As you can see, I chose the Batmobile from The Dark Knight trilogy. My reasoning for picking this vehicle is that it is more geometric than many other vehicles, which makes creating an Adobe illustration much easier.

After importing the original reference into Illustrator, I began to build the vehicle from front to back, using the pen tool to create the shapes, the eyedropper tool to fill the shapes with the correct gray tone, and finally the gradient tool to emphasize the shading 

on the vehicle.
